"What Did you do last week"? email
We have received guidance from the DHS Under Secretary, advising CBP employees they DO NOT need to send any responses at this time. Both we and National believe we should not be subjected to the whiplash, uncertainty and chaos brought on by these emails over the last week. The job each of you are doing is critical to our safety and security, and this harms our ability to carry that out effectively. We will continue to coordinate with National and keep you updated as soon as we receive additional information.
DHS APPROVES NEW CONTRACT
NTEU's new six-year contract with CBP is now final following overwhelming approval by union members and a speedy review by DHS. The new 2025 NCBA, fiercely negotiated by chapter leaders for more than a year, will go into effect March 9. Until then, the current contract and the parties' agreement for early implementation of increased physical fitness time (PTFIT) will continue in full force and effect.
